Company History

AmerTac offers complete lines of high quality decorative wallplates, matching decorative hardware, nite lites, utility lites, under cabinet lighting, lighting controls, and a complete line of plant accessories. Our products are distributed to leading home centers, lighting showrooms, mass merchandisers, drug and supermarket chains throughout North America.

Founded in 1937 in New York City, American Tack Company soon became the country's largest supplier of thumb tacks and decorative furniture nails. Acquisitions expanded the product offering and the company became American Tack & Hardware operating out of the Flatiron Building in New York City.

Now known as AmerTac, the company is headquartered in Saddle River, NJ. with distribution facilities in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.   As we look to the future, we remain committed to the principles upon which the company was founded - quality products, good value and outstanding customer service.
