The energy-saving, cost-cutting SLC6
light control features a digitally programmable circuit that lets users choose
when lights shut off—after two hours, five hours, eights hours, or at dawn.
They are ideal during vacations, because homeowners can also opt for random
“off times,” thus breaking any pattern that might be discernible to thieves.
Westek’s energy-conscious SLC6 is simple
to install. Just screw it in and you’re done! No wiring or electricians are
necessary. The control comes complete with a spring-loaded contact that lets
users orient the sensor to avoid false “ons” caused by streetlights and
automobile headlights.
“When used with a compact fluorescent
bulb, these controls save consumers an average of $49 per fixture per year,”
says Mike Stack, Product Marketing Manager at AmerTac. “They work with compact
fluorescents or incandescents. Better yet, users can tell them when to work and
how to work.”
In addition to the SLC6, Westek offers a
full line of green screw-in, plug-in and wire-in light controls that work with
compact fluorescent bulbs. They all save money, conserve energy and deter
intruders—thereby providing homeowners with convenience, safety and peace of
mind.
Westek’s SLC6 light control retails for
$8.99 to $11.99 and can be found at Home Depot and local hardware stores
nationwide. They can also be purchased under the AmerTac brand at Lowe’s. For
details, visit www.amertac.com, www.lowes.com or www.homedepot.com.
